Velkommen til POP UP forelesning med OAF & AHO på Arkitektenes Hus! 

Torsdag 23 Mai kl. 18:00 får vi besøk av Nicolas Dorval-Bory som vil presentere sine prosjekter og egen praksis. 

Nicolas Dorval-Bory er et arkitektkontor fra Paris. Arkitekturen kjennetegnes av et fokus på atmosfære, både i den teknisk klimatiske og den arkitektonisk romlige forstand. Kontoret jobber bredt med blant annet med renovasjoner, bolig, leilighetsbygg, utstillinger og er aktiv i arkitektkonkurranser. 

I 2016 mottok han prisen Naja (Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes) av det Franske kulturdepartementet. Han var i 2022 kurator for arkitektur- og landskapsbiennalen, BAP!2 — Visible, Invisible, i Versailles.

Nicolas Dorval-Bory (1980) ble utdannet arkitekt ved ENSA Paris Val de Seine i 2007. 

Etter å ha bodd i Chile og Brazil (2009-2013) jobber nå Dorval-Bory fra Paris med prosjekter av variert skala både lokalt i Frankrike og internasjonalt. 

Nicolas Dorval-Bory har undervist siden 2011 ved ENSA Normandie (2011-2014), ved Porto Academy summer school (2019), og siden 2014 ved ÉNSA Versailles. Han tar for tiden sin doktorgrad ved CY Cergy Paris University. 

Denne forelesningen skjer i sammenheng med AHO sin boklansering av Pedagogical Experiments in Architecture for a Changing Climate – Eds. Tulay Atak, Luis Callejas, Jonathan A. Scelsa & Jørgen Tandberg, Routledge 2024, hvor Dorval-Bory har bidratt. Den lanseringen og tilhørende presentasjoner vil finne sted dagen før denne forelesningen, på AHO 22 Mai kl 16:00.

Thursday May 23rd at 18:00 we will be joined by Nicolas Dorval-Bory who will give a lecture on his practice and projects.

Nicolas Dorval-Bory is an architectural office from Paris. His architecture is characterized by a focus on atmosphere, both in the technical climatic and the architectural spatial sense. The office works on a wide range of projects including renovations, housing, apartment buildings and exhibitions while remaining active in architectural competitions.

In 2016, he received the Naja (Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes) awarded by French Ministry of Culture. In 2022, he was the co-curator of the architecture and landscape biennial in Versailles, BAP!2 - Visible, Invisible.

Nicolas Dorval-Bory (1980) graduated as an architect from ENSA Paris Val de Seine in 2007.

Scelsa & Jørgen Tandberg, Routledge 2024, where Dorval-Bory has contributed. That launch and the accompanied presentation will take place the day before this lecture, at AHO on May 22nd 16:00.
