Hvordan blir arkitekturen hvis naturens interesser får sette premissene? I samarbeid med Oslo Arkitekturtriennale inviterer Oslo arkitektforening til en kveld med tverrfaglige samtaler, der vi utforsker hva som skjer når vi tenker naturen som en reell aktør i utformingen av våre omgivelser. 

Denne kvelden samles 3 unge arkitekter fra den europeiske plattformen LINA i Oslo. HARVEST SALON, girlsscanscan collective og kuidas.works vil fortelle om sin praksis og om prosjektet de utvikler sammen med triennalen og åpne for en bredere samtale. Vi diskuterer materialers livssyklus, sammenhengen mellom ressursutvinning og forbruk, og hvordan lokale og sirkulære praksiser kan utfordre dagens byggeindustri. Diskusjonen knytter seg på ulike måter til kveldens tema og til retningen for neste utgave av triennalen som har tittelen "Hva om naturen kommer først?". OAF fasiliterer samtalen, der et tverrfaglig panel bestående av Lars Dalen fra Marinreparatørene og biolog Damian Petkovic Karlsen bidrar med ulike perspektiver. Publikum inviteres til å delta aktivt.

Det vil bli mulighet for en liten matbit og noe godt i glasset hele kvelden, hvor vi håper på gode og engasjerende diskusjoner både før, under og etter samtalen - velkommen!

What will architecture look like if nature’s interests set the framework? 

In collaboration with Oslo Architecture Triennale, the Oslo Association of Architects invites you to an evening of interdisciplinary discussions, where we explore what happens when we view nature as an active participant in shaping our surroundings. 

On this evening, three young architects from the European platform LINA will gather in Oslo. HARVEST SALON, girlsscanscan collective og kuidas.works will share insights from their practices and discuss the project they are developing in collaboration with the triennale, opening up for a broader conversation. We will discuss the life cycle of materials, the relationship between resource extraction and consumption, and how local and circular practices can challenge today’s construction industry. The discussion will be connected in various ways to the evening’s theme and to the direction of the next edition of the triennale, titled “What if Nature Comes First?”. The conversation will be facilitated by OAF, where an interdisciplinary guest panel of Lars Dalen from Marinreparatørene and the biologist Damian Petkovic Karlsen contribute with diverse perspectives. The audience is invited to actively participate. The conversation will be conducted in English.

There will be an opportunity to enjoy some food from djup studio and buy drinks throughout the evening, as we look forward to engaging in discussions before, during, and after the conversation – welcome!
